Sarayo was first introduced to co-founder Aaron Eastman when he ordered Asian Fusion shrimp in 2006 and realized it was drizzled in the best sauce he had ever tasted. At the time, words could not explain the flavor that this sauce revealed. However, later research best described the sauce as “Umami.” Two years later and many trips to the grocery store, Aaron realized that the sauce was not being sold anywhere. Finally, he thought he would do the world a favor and bottle the sauce so everyone can try it. After fish tacos, sushi, salads, buffalo wings, and sandwiches all passed the test, Sarayo was born. Aaron then teamed up with his friend James Miller about the idea, and we knew we had something special.
